TryCareerMatch is an independent project built and maintained by Diogo Serino, based in Braga, Portugal. It is not affiliated with any recruiter, job board or employer. There are no ads, no data selling, no algorithmic recommendations shaped by employer relationships — just an honest compatibility score based on your profile.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. TryCareerMatch works without any registration. Your profile is stored in your browser for 7 days using an anonymous session — no email or password required to get your free report.
Is my data stored permanently?
Anonymous sessions expire after 7 days and are then deleted. If you purchase the detailed report, your email and results are retained for up to 12 months so you can re-access them, then permanently deleted.
How does the compatibility score work?
Each role is scored across four dimensions: core skills match (50%), adjacent skills (20%), education alignment (15%), and years of experience (15%). Senior professionals with 12+ years can offset lower formal education. Roles where you lack mandatory skills receive a penalty.
What's the difference between the free and paid report?
The free report shows your top 7 matches with a score breakdown. The detailed report (€9.99) unlocks your full ranking across all 60+ evaluated roles, salary ranges, career progression paths, a personalised skill gap analysis, and an email copy of your results.
Can I get a refund?
The detailed report is a digital product delivered immediately upon payment. Under EU consumer law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that has been delivered. If you experience a technical issue and did not receive your report, contact us and we will resolve it.
