Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create an account?
Not for the free report — no password, no login, and we don't verify the email. At the end we ask for one so we can keep your report and send you a link back to it. The paid Deep Report is the exception: that one needs an account with a confirmed address, because it's written from the report you saved and we have to know which report is yours. Beyond that we use your email for nothing, unless you tick the optional marketing box. Your session data is removed after 7 days; your saved report stays until you delete it, or 12 months after your last visit.
Is my data stored permanently?
Your anonymous session is stored in your browser and on our servers for up to 7 days, after which it is removed — your name included, if you gave one. No account is created. The report you save outlives it: we keep that copy under your email until you use the delete link in the save email, or until 12 months pass without a visit. How does the compatibility score work?
Each role is scored across four dimensions: core skills match (50%), adjacent skills (20%), education alignment (15%), and years of experience (15%). Senior professionals with 12+ years can offset lower formal education. Roles where you lack mandatory skills receive a penalty.
Is it really free?
Yes. The full report is completely free — your complete ranking across all 100+ evaluated roles, career progression paths, a personalized skill gap analysis and a narrative profile analysis. No payment, no account, no credit card — just an email at the end, so you can come back to your report. There is one paid add-on, a $30 written Deep Report, but it sits on top of the free one rather than being carved out of it: nothing is held back from the free report to sell it. That one does need an account — it is written from a report you have saved, so we need to know which report is yours. What are the 11 Hybrid Career Archetypes?
Your answers map you onto 5 career forces — Insight, Craft, Market, People and Order. The way your strongest forces combine gives you one of 11 archetypes, like The Architect (Insight × Craft) or The Polymath (many forces in balance). It's a name for how your mix works, shown at the top of your report — and every archetype comes with an honest 'shadow', not just flattery.
What if my skills don't really span multiple fields?
You still get the full report. An archetype is the bridge between two forces — but if one force runs much deeper than the rest, you get a specialist's signature instead, like The Analyst or The Maker: a real position with its own strength, an honest watch-out, and the second force that would open a bridge. Either way, you get the same ranked map, the same skill gaps, and the same read on where the market's headed.
