TryCareerMatch

For universities and career services

Give the people you advise a map of where their mix fits

TryCareerMatch maps people with mixed backgrounds onto the roles where their combination wins, and names the shape of it. Each person gets a full report of their own. Start with a free pilot, with us involved.

Built for postgraduate, MBA and alumni teams, bootcamps, outplacement firms and independent coaches.

What each person gets

A ranked shortlist

Every role in the catalogue, scored against what they told us and split into ready now, reachable with upskilling, and long-term.

A name for their mix

Most hybrid profiles land on one of 11 career archetypes. A strong single-force profile gets its signature named instead, and a thin one is told plainly that it's still forming.

The full profile, in their own account

With a pilot or a plan: the Deep Report by section, with skills and gaps, routes, a plan and a positioning kit, tailored by a questionnaire. They can share the parts they choose with their adviser, by link, and see when it was opened.

The catalogue is 100+ roles across 19 sectors. How many of them a given person is scored against depends on their own answers, because some roles are ruled out by education or level before scoring starts.

Try it yourself first

Make your own free report. Then save it, create an account with the same email, and open the full profile from your account, free for 7 days. It is once per account, nothing is charged, and it ends by itself.

How a pilot works

  1. You pick a group

Up to 50 people: a postgraduate cohort, an alumni group, a bootcamp class, people in transition. You send them the link. Nothing about them comes to us from you.

  2. Each person gets the full profile

They make their free report, create an account with their own email and let us know they're in your pilot. We open the full profile for them, and they keep it.

  3. We brief your advisers

A 30–45 minute call on how to read a report with someone: what the tiers mean, what an archetype is and isn't, and how to tell when a result is thin.

  4. After six weeks, we talk

A straight conversation about what your people found useful and what they didn't, and a written note of what we learned.

What a pilot costs

Nothing. If it's worth continuing, we agree a plan with you before it ends. If it isn't, you owe nothing and your people keep their reports.

What we deliver, and what we don't

We deliver

  • A report for each person, theirs to keep.
  • The full profile for each person in a pilot or a plan.
  • A live briefing for your advisers.
  • A conversation at the end of a pilot, and a written note.
  • A short paragraph to paste into a newsletter or a student email.

We don't deliver

  • Any view of your people's individual answers or results.
  • Summaries or rankings of your group, during a pilot or after.
  • Certification of your advisers.
  • Anything installed on your systems.

Who this works for

The tool reads what someone can already show: what they've done, what they can do, what they've studied. That makes it strongest for people with some working experience behind them: postgraduate, MBA and alumni cohorts, and people mid-career or changing direction.

Students are welcome, and the result tracks the input. If you share it with a cohort early in their careers, tell them to finish every step, including the self-assessment at the end.

What happens to their data

The free report needs no account. Leaving an email is optional: it saves a copy they can come back to, which stays until they ask us to remove it and goes automatically 12 months after their last visit. Without an email, the session behind the report is cleared after 7 days.

The full profile lives in an account they create with their own email. They decide what to share and with whom, and they can see when it was opened.

The database is hosted in London, United Kingdom. Every company that handles the data for us is named in the privacy policy.

You don't become a data processor by sharing a link or running a pilot, and we don't receive anything about your people from you. If a piece of work ever needs more than a shared link, we put the data terms in writing with you before it starts.

The questions you have to answer internally

Do we see our people's results?

No. Each report belongs to the person who made it, and we don't send you their answers or their results, during a pilot or after. If someone wants to go through their report with an adviser, they can share the parts they choose by link, if they have the full profile, or bring a printed copy.

Do they need an account?

Not for the free report. The full profile, in a pilot or a plan, lives in an account they create with their own email.

Is it AI?

The matching is rule-based and deterministic: the same answers always give the same result, and we can explain any score out loud. The free report has no AI in it. In the full profile, the written summary that opens it and the note that closes it are generated by a language model.

Do you sell their data?

No. There are no ads and nothing is sold or passed to anyone for marketing. We do run cookieless analytics that count visits in aggregate, with no personal profiles behind them, and every processor we use is named in the privacy policy.

How do we pay?

A plan is agreed in writing and invoiced. Prices are in USD before VAT, and we can invoice in EUR.

Can we just share the free report?

Yes. Send them the link: there is nothing to set up and no contract. Tell them to finish every step, including the self-assessment at the end.

Start a pilot, or ask about a plan

Tell us who you work with and roughly how many people you have in mind. We read every message and reply personally.
